I met Ophélie in 2020 when she hired me for a photography branding session in Ottawa for her digital marketing agency: marketing Avec Jako. With time, our relationship became a beautiful and mutual friendship. Ophélie, just like me was a covid bride and never got the chance to celebrate her union with Chris. So when I was planning this styled beach elopement Ottawa with a bunch of amazing Ottawa wedding vendor, I immediately thought of Ophélie and Chris so they can have that moment to remember their wedding forever.

The atmosphere

The atmosphere was light, laid back and breezy during a hot July night at sunset at Petrie Island Beach. We played some music, danced and enjoyed the sunset on the empty beach. The vibe was absolutely perfect, it was just a bunch of friends hanging out together. I personally got a little emotional at the end of the sunset, it truly felt perfect.

Petrie Island Beach was the perfect location for O & C because they are a laid-back couple. They wanted to celebrate their love without the stress of hosting a wedding. We got especially lucky since the beach was empty on a Friday evening!

We ended the evening with our own version of a sparkler exit on the beach!

The decor& getting ready

The color theme of this wedding were Pinks, reds and gold. The girls of 613 819 Party Rental did an amazing job at setting up a very simple yet elegant, colorful yet subtle. The flowers were the perfect addition to the gold touches, thanks to Attis Floral Design!

Ophélie got a special treatment from Filsan on her light yet glamorous makeup and her hair was beautifully done by Allaha. The delicate and feminine jewellery was provided to us by Sameeha from S U G A R C A N E & C O.

This was certainly a styled shoot but it is always important for me to choose a real couple. I also wanted to give the opportunity to a couple that deserves it, so Ophélie and Chris were the perfect couple!

Of course, the outfit was chosen and provided to us by the team of With Love Bridal, they truly are mu go-to bridal attire boutique in Ottawa!
