An intimate winter Nikkah in Montréal

When L first reached out to me for her date in January, they had planned for a full day of festivities. Surely with Covid restrictions, it ended up being a nikkah celebration followed by a bridal session.

I joined the couple along with only a few of their close family members and friends at the Brossard Islamic Community Center for photos inside of the Mosque after their Nikkah ceremony and we ended the session with only a few outdoor winter shots at Parc de la Cité because it was -20 degrees!

The details

My goal when capturing a couple as a wedding photographer is to take advantage of their already existing beautiful relationship to create candid shots of them! I do have a few poses that I use for all my couple sessions but I want to let you be yourselves, interact with each other, laugh and have fun. Once I set you in a "pose", I'll give you a few props to do together. That is exactly what I did with L & R and here are the results!
