Harry & Ashley were the sweetest, down-to-earth, and thoughtful couple. The month before their October wedding, I met with them for over an hour to discuss their Big Day and craft a minute by minute schedule, they were eager and excited to make things go smooth during their wedding.
Their October wedding at Evermore Weddings and Events in the village of Almonte was warm, felt authentic and intimate. In facts, the couple only wanted to celebrate their nuptials with their loved ones and close family.
The venue: Evermore Events and Weddings
Evermore Events and Weddings is what every photographer’s dreams are made of! A spacious and elegant house for getting ready in all comfort and sooth down the nerves of the morning of. A very elegant barn for your reception with crystal chandeliers and gorgeous linen drapery. A very big and cool sail tent outside for cooling down after dancing for hours! Two options for your ceremony: inside of the gorgeous barn or an outdoor ceremony space overlooking empty fields just like Harry and Ashley chose to have their touching ceremony! Last but not least huge fields and willow trees for portraits!
Ashley chose a gorgeous palette of greens and beiges for her bridesmaids and her family. The palette was a perfect match with an October wedding!
Ashley and Harry decided to skip the couple first look and for Ashley to have a first look with her bridesmaids and moms to be then followed by a first look with her dad. As an Ottawa wedding photographer, it was refreshing to capture those two beautiful and unique moments!
As I was by Ashley and Harry’s side for over 12 hours, I felt like I was part of the family, by the end of the night I had inside jokes with her cousins and was taking care of Ashley’s grand mother. It truly felt like I was part of the family and it made the photos I captured so much more personal.
The daughter father dance and mother-son dances took place under the sail tent outside, it felt so good to be outside after the beautiful and touching speeches that took place during the delicious dinner. It started lightly raining and the whole atmosphere transformed into a cozy intimate moment to share the couple’s first dance!
To end the day, I sneaked my newly married couple for a few nighttime photos at the back of the barn when it had started lightly raining, it was such a magical moment!
