Do we meet before the wedding/event?
Yes, we’ll meet a few times before your wedding to ensure everything is perfectly planned!
First, there’s a consultation meeting before you book, where we’ll discuss your vision, answer any questions, and see if we’re the right fit.
Next, if you book an engagement session, this is a great opportunity for us to work together and get you comfortable in front of the camera.
Finally, we’ll have a timeline call closer to your wedding date to review the schedule, key moments, and any last-minute details. These meetings help everything run smoothly and allow me to capture your day beautifully and stress-free!
What is a privacy fee and why do you charge one?
The privacy fee is a 20% charge applied to your total invoice amount to ensure that your photos remain completely private and are not shared online or used in any promotional materials.
As a photographer, sharing my work through social media, portfolio galleries, and other channels is essential for attracting new clients and showcasing my style. When I’m unable to use your images for marketing purposes, it impacts my ability to grow my business. The privacy fee helps offset this loss of promotional content and the potential business opportunities it provides.
Additionally, this fee covers the extra time and measures taken to safeguard your images and ensure they remain entirely offline, honoring your preference for complete privacy. My goal is to respect your wishes while maintaining a balance in the sustainability of my work as a creative professional.
Where are you located?
I am based in Ottawa, Ontario. I also offer my services in Montreal, QC and Toronto, ON. Applicable travel fees will apply outside of the Ottawa-Gatineau area.
What is your shooting and editing style?
My photography style is a blend of posed and candid moments, aiming to capture your special day authentically while ensuring you feel completely at ease. Some parts of the day call for a documentary approach, where I step back and quietly capture events as they naturally unfold. At other times, I’ll take the lead, guiding you with gentle direction to create beautifully composed shots.
My aesthetic is light, warm, and romantic, with soft pink undertones that bring an elegant and timeless feel to your photos.
How many photos do we receive, do we get to choose them and when do I get them?
The number of photos received can vary and it depends on a lot of factors (e.g. lightning, location, etc), but I usually provide approximately 60 to 80 photos per hour of coverage.
When taking photos, I can capture up to 3000 pictures during an 8 hour wedding day. I then go through the process of choosing the photos one by one with the goal of choosing the very best, flattering photos that are full of emotion.
