No two celebrations of love are alike, and today, I will show you a super sweet wedding at the Ottawa City Hall, one that was unique from the very start!
I have been fortunate enough to photograph many weddings with couples who have taken the time to make the day truly their own – not because they are trying to be different but because they are! Trust me; it is so refreshing to be part of such celebrations that reflect the couple’s true personalities and styles.
The wedding I will talk about is of a very special couple coming from Ottawa and London. They first met in the English capital, and their love story has been flourishing ever since. They decided on a wedding at Ottawa City Hall because they wanted to be in the embrace of all of their closest and have them for their most special day.
Wedding at the Ottawa City Hall
The gorgeous couple opted for a ceremony in Ottawa City Hall with their parents to celebrate their new beginnings. Since it only lasted for a few minutes, we decided to skip out on capturing it and put all of our focus into the reception.
Once the ceremony was over, we met the couple and their parents in the gardens. The gorgeous bride, in a beautiful cream dress, was all smiles and radiated with happiness. She also held a beautiful, colorful yellow flower bouquet, which looked amazing. The groom, on the other hand, blew the house down with his dapper navy suit.
We moved for the photos of the newlyweds with their families. Their parents were happy and smiling as they saw their children making new beginnings. We took incredibly heartwarming pictures with the entire family in the lush park, and the love encircled us made the experience a thousand times better!
Love In The City
After a session with the family members, we whisked the couple off for an hour-long solo session, including some photos taken inside the Ottawa City Hall and creative couple portraits across the various locations in the city. As civil ceremonies are quick, the couple spent most of the time giving magazine-worthy poses behind incredible urban backdrops. We walked around the city, taking advantage of the beautiful light that crept through the soaring skyscrapers. They were so sweet, easygoing, and in love- as an Ottawa wedding photographer, I honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more!
