One of the best things about being an Ottawa engagement photographer is that I get to meet countless unique couples whose love story never fails to impress me. Not only do I get a beautiful photo shoot out of each of them, but the couples also get the chance to “warm up” for the actual wedding! For now, I want to show you M&M’s gorgeous Downtown Ottawa engagement session in Major’s Hill Park. This one was for the books, so not sharing it with you would simply be a crime!
Before we get into their Major’s Hill Park photos, allow me to tell you a thing or two about M&M and what made their Downtown Ottawa engagement session so special. They had their wedding in the US, but since M is from Ottawa, she wanted to pay homage to her hometown as much as possible. Naturally, having their engagement photos taken here was a decision that didn’t need a second thought, so they connected with me.
However, due to the city’s diversity, we had somewhat of a challenge deciding on the perfect engagement photo session location in Ottawa. After some meticulous thinking and considering the bride’s desire, we ended up in a place that needed no introduction – Major’s Hill Park. Located close to Chateau Laurier and Parliament Hill, this location is synonymous with the city’s one-of-a-kind beauty, marking the ideal beginning to their Downtown Ottawa engagement session.
As soon as we met, I was amazed at how good they looked! M boasted a clean-cut look, rocking a classic white shirt and navy pants, complimented perfectly with brown accents. M, on the other hand, matched his attire both in color and sophistication. Wearing an ankle-length dress, she embodied contemporary elegance, making their Ottawa engagement session truly stand out.
Aside from their looks, I was also impressed by how naturally they behaved in front of the camera. Typically, couples need a little time to loosen up and get adjusted to the whole scenario, but not M&M. On the contrary, once we arrived in the park, they knew exactly what they were doing, effortlessly throwing magazine-worthy poses and million-dollar smiles. It’s almost like they were preparing for this their entire lives.
However, although the couple’s looks were amazing, the love they shared for each other made their Downtown Ottawa engagement session stand out. Every embrace, kiss, and spin they did during the shoot was a true expression of romance and adoration, making it a true treat for this Ottawa engagement photographer! I even got the chance to experiment with some soft light gradients, and the results ended up perfect!
I couldn’t have hoped for a better Downtown Ottawa engagement session! Judging from their pictures, I’m sure their wedding was as unique as they are.
